Dear patients,
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances we have a reduced number of GPs, nurses and receptionists available at the practice for the next few weeks which will significantly affect the services we can provide. We are extremely sorry and we ask that you bear with us during this short term problem.
Over the next few weeks, we will be closed between 12:15 until 14:00 to allow the practice team time for important administrative duties to be carried out.
Fewer GPs means you may need to wait a little longer for a routine appointment or you may be offered an appointment with another member of the team, or with another local service. We hope you understand that it is important to ensure that patients with urgent health care needs are still seen, despite the reduced number of GPs.
When you contact us for an appointment, our reception team will use a professional guided process called care navigation to help decide with you which professional would be best suited to help you with your problem. We are very lucky to have a multi-disciplinary team including our nurses, social care prescribers, physiotherapists and pharmacists who all work alongside our GPs and will be here to provide their usual support during this time.
Our patients also have free access to NHS LIVI Doctors and can make an appointment/speak with a doctor within minutes by going to the Livi App. This service is also available on weekday evenings until 10:00 and on both Saturday and Sunday between 08:00 and 16:00.
You can also speak to a pharmacist at any local pharmacy for advice and treatment for minor conditions. The practice website also has useful NHS approved support and advice for patients with minor illnesses/injuries and where to appropriately seek help in our Self Help tile.
Our reception team will try to help you with your problem as best they can and we thank you in advance for your patience,
Coachmans Medical Practice Team
